Our lighted windsock package is a complete unit ready for installation on an aerodrome or industrial site. The package includes;
1. Working voltage: 12-48VDC or 110-240VAC 5 metres of wiring.
2. One low intensity obstruction light on top of the frame, one flood light inside the windsock for Illumination
3. Frame and Pole: Material-stainless steel 304, standard pole height is 5 metres.
4. Windsock: International orange, 3.6meter length, 900mm throat diameter.
5. The base of the pole is hinged so it can be rotated 90°to lower the windsock for maintenance
6. Compliance: NZ CAA AC139-6 - Aerodrome Design Requirements (All Aeroplanes Conducting Air Transport Operations, All Aeroplanes above 5700 kg MCTOW) Chapter 5.1.3 Characteristics, The windsock should be in the form of a truncated cone made of fabric and should have a length of not less than 3.6 m and a diameter, at the larger end, of not less than 0.9 m. It should be a coloured light orange or white and constructed so that it gives a clear indication of the direction of surface wind and a general indication of wind speed when seen from a height of 300 m (1000 ft).
