These 25 knot windsocks are made for commercial/international aerodromes, major ports and large industrial sites.
They are constructed from high visibility fabric and have non-rust brass grommets for frame attachment.
Our windsocks are made and designed in New Zealand one of the more demanding aviation climates in the world.
Our windsocks comply with FAA standards; a 25 knot wind will fully extend the windsock. A 3-knot breeze will cause the windsock to orient itself according to the wind.
Dimensions are; Throat diameter 662mm Length 2800 mm.

Characteristics
5.1.3 The windsock should be in the form of a truncated cone made of fabric and should have
a length of not less than 3.6 m and a diameter, at the larger end, of not less than 0.9 m. It should
be coloured light orange or white and constructed so that it gives a clear indication of the
direction of surface wind and a general indication of wind speed when seen from a height of 300
m (1000 ft).
